Big John Alley has been proudly providing general, personal injury, and family legal counsel to Auburn, Alabama residents for over 30 years.  

Big John is an Alabama boy, born in Montgomery on July 2, 1954.  He graduated from Auburn High School.  He headed for Sewanee, Tennessee to attend the outstanding undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences at the University of the South, learning and writing within a culture that produces the Sewanee Review, a treasure of Southern culture as the nation’s oldest continuously published literary quarterly.

The University of the South emphasizes writing throughout its curriculum, a skill the university regards as indispensible in any walk of life.  Certainly, law in the South is built on Southerners’ high regard for the written and spoken word.  Attorney Big John Alley took his love of language on to law school, returning home to attend the venerable University of Alabama Law School.  He received his law degree 1979.  Before entering private general practice in Auburn, he served as Law Clerk to the Honorable R.E. Varner, U.S. District Judge, Middle District of Alabama from 1979 to 1980.

In 30 years of legal practice as a personal injury and family law attorney, Big John Alley has read law, developing a comprehensive knowledge of Alabama law and Auburn courts.  He has compassion for the people of his native state, and operates a friendly, informal law office.  Attorney Alley enthusiastically puts his skill with the law and its language to use for the service of the citizens of Auburn every day.

Big John has built his life as well as his law practice in Auburn.  He is the proud daddy of four fine daughters.  Like all sons of beautiful Alabama, he enjoys the outdoors, spending his free time fishing.
